Wendy Gardner, co-owner with her husband of Body Shop Fitness, participated in sprint distance triathlons until she found her true passion of competing in Fitness competitions. As a fitness competitor for seven years she had various accolades including National Fitness Champion for SNBF, and top five champion at NPC nationals. After that, she transitioned to figure and bikini competitions and earned her pro card with Drug-tested NGA and placed 3rd and 4th as a pro at the NGA Pro International. For a new challenge, on November 16, 2013, Wendy placed first in the 123 lb. class in the Strongman Event for the American Powerlifting Strongman League at Atlas Athletic Club, Hopkinsville, KY (this included a 350 Conan Wheel). In 2014, she earned the title of TN Strongest Women for APL.
After extensive group coaching, peer coaching and working with a master coach, Wendy earned her CPC in 2014. This certification along with Wendy's personal trainer and sports nutritionist have all supported her ability to train Novice competitors. Wendy has her Master’s degree in Arts from Western Kentucky University and works full-time in Corrections, previously working as an Assistant Warden and currently she is the Senior Director, Career Development for Corrections Corporation of America.
