ISSA certified fitness trainer, 5th degree black belt in taekwondo, bachelor's degree in pre-law from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).
Dustin Sands, "Dusty," has been training in taekwondo since the age of three and earned his black belt at the early age of six. Throughout his early childhood and teen years, he competed in taekwondo, winning multiple championships. As a result, he wanted to share his passion for competition with others so he began to coach and train starting at the age of 15. To this day, he continues to coach for state, regional and national championships. In addition to taekwondo, Dusty participated in other sports including soccer at the age of six which he continued through high school until present day.
Dusty's dedication to fitness and the discipline it takes to maintain a healthy lifestyle led him to become an after school instructor several years ago. Through this program, children are afforded a structured environment including homework completion time and physical activity. Dusty has brought this program to Body Shop Fitness where he also works as a personal trainer. This allows him the opportunity to train all ages and fitness levels, where he has now become known as the trainer that knows just the right way to challenge someone and make workouts fun.
